Use a scanner optional

The Barcode Scanner is a common type of scanner widely used today. Simply connect it to the POS system via a USB port, and you can easily and quickly scan barcodes. To connect the scanner to the POS system, plug one end of the scanner's USB cable into the POS system.

For this guide, we are using the Barcode Scanner Model: X-9201B

Item Code Field: This is where the scanned barcode number will appear.

Steps to Scan an Item:
  • On the POS interface, use the scanner to scan the barcode on the item (please make sure the item has a barcode label).
  • If the item is already in the POS system and the barcode matches:
    • The item is automatically added to the order on the right side of the screen.
    • The item’s details will appear next to it.

If the item has multiple options (size, style, etc.): The staff needs to select the appropriate option → click the "Add" button to include the item in the order.

If there are no items in the POS system with the scanned barcode: After scanning, a new item will be automatically created, and this barcode will be entered into the Item Code field.  →  You will then need to create a new item to add to the order.
