Create a new Item
Step 1: Go to
Content Management → In the
Restaurant section, click on the
Menu tab → Click the "
+ Add New" button located at the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Fill Out the Required InformationTo add information in multiple languages, click the language icon on the right.This will display separate text boxes for each language → Enter the appropriate content for each language, then click "OK" to save.Item Details
- Item Name: Enter the name of the item as it will appear on the menu.
- Name on Invoice: Add a short name for the item that will display on invoices (maximum 24 characters).
- Picture:
- Click on the Picture box to upload an image for the new item.
- To replace the image, click the Delete icon in the Picture box and upload a new one.
- Image requirements: Please note that the file size must be 10MB or smaller, and dimensions must be between 64x64 pixels (minimum) and 5120x5120 pixels (maximum).
- Categories:
- Click the arrow icon in the Categories box.
- Select one or more categories for the new item.
- Click "Close" to finish. To remove a category, click the "X" next to it.
- Description: Add a detailed description of the item. This will appear below the item name in both the POS interface and customer layout.
- Status: The default status is Active. If you want to change the status, click on the arrow icon to the right of the Status, and select one of the following:
- Item Code: Enter the code or ID for the item.
- Color: Select the color that will represent the item on the menu.
- Original Price: Enter the item's price before any discounts or promotions are applied.
- Sale Price: Enter the final price after all discounts and promotions. This is the price customers will pay.
- Taxes:
- Click the arrow icon in the Tax box and select applicable taxes for the item.
- To remove a tax, click the "X" icon next to it.
- Note: You can assign multiple taxes to one item.
- Kitchen:
- Click the arrow icon in the Kitchen box to choose where the order for this item will be prepared.
- For items that do not require preparation, select "No Preparation needed" to skip the kitchen/bar and send the order directly to the serving station.
- Allow flexible total price adjustments at the counter: If checked, the cashier can modify this item's total price on the order during checkout.
Item Options (Groups)
- To create a new Option Group, click "+ New Group".
- Fill in the required details:
- Name: Enter a name for the option group.
- Must choose at least: Set the minimum number of choices required for this group.
- Maximum choices allowed: Set the maximum number of choices allowed. If unlimited, click the infinity icon on the right.
- Click "OK" to save or "Cancel" to exit.
*** Editing or Deleting: After successfully adding an option group, click the respective
Edit or
Delete icons to modify or remove it.
Item Sub-OptionsAfter creating a sub-option group, click on the group to add sub-options.
- Click the “+ Add” button.
- Fill in the following details:
- Title: Enter the name of the sub-option.
- Unit Price: Set the price for this sub-option.
- Maximum Choice: Define the maximum number of times this sub-option can be selected.
- Default Choice: Check this box to set this sub-option as the default selection.
- Ingredients: Click the "+ Add Ingredient" button to add specific ingredients for this sub-option (if needed).
==> Click "
OK" to save or "
Cancel" to exit.
*** Editing or Deleting: After adding a sub-option, click the respective
Edit or
Delete icons to modify or remove it.
Copy / Paste OptionsTo quickly add the same option groups to other items:
- Click "Copy Options".
- Go to the desired item and click "Paste"→ All options will be copied without the need for re-entry.
Ingredients
- Click the "+ Add Ingredient" button.
- Select the ingredient and unit for the new item, then enter the quantity.
- Click "OK" to save or "Cancel" to exit.
- Ingredient: Choose the appropriate ingredient.
- Quantity: Enter the quantity.
- Unit: Choose the unit of measurement.
***Editing or Deleting: After successfully adding an ingredient, click the corresponding
Edit or
Delete icon to modify or remove it.
Once all necessary information is filled out, click on "
Save" to finish or "
Go Back" to exit. The new item will now be displayed in the Item Interface.
After successfully adding the item, you will see an option called "
Ordinal". This controls the display order of the item on the menu:
- Lower ordinal numbers result in higher display priority (i.e., the item will appear higher on the menu).
Show item image in POS (ON/OFF)Navigate to the Settings pageGo to
Admin →
Settings →
System →
General Settings.
Locate the
Restaurant tab
Scroll down to the
Restaurant tab, and then to the bottom section under
Other. You’ll see an option labeled "
Show item image in POS".
If the button is toggled
ON, item images will display normally in the POS interface.
If the button is OFF, the POS interface will not show item images and you will have three options for item name sizes:
- Small: Font size for item names is small.
- Medium: Font size for item names is medium.
- Large: Font size for item names is large.
